It is very ironic. When I am pretty happy to track my daily schedule with my newly created tips, I encountered an exception on Day 1. God is nice for exposing the potential issues in an early phase. I did not have set handler for this exception. After an half-day experience, I came up my tactic.

Firstly, we should do well preparation in order to prevent as much as exceptions. In my case, I missed a very important meeting today because of the different timezone. I got the invitation with a scheduled time without timezone. And I made an assumption, it is the same as my zone. So the tragedy happens. It was hold 3 hours than I expected. And I missed the meeting totally! So I am thinking, if I could write down the meeting in my calendar in PST at the first time, then it would not happen. This tells me "try to do the things in the best way at the first time! don't leave any tails to follow up. "

Secondly, when it happened, (We have to accept that, some time, for some reason, we cannot prevent all the bad things), we should not complain, close all the doors, cry at home or do any other nonsensical things. You calm down and think about

  1. who gonna help you

  2. what should you do immediately

  3. any remedy actions

And finally, you think about why does this happen and how to prevent similar issue happens in the future.

OK, now go back to you daily life as your original plan. (just like the interruption handling by computers).

I did not do it in the right way, today. I became very nervous with a blank mind. Then I spent a lot of time (2hours) writing different emails to different people to ask for help. And I seemed totally lost myself.

Now, thinking back, I should calm down, take necessary actions and then back to work/life as usually. We might encounter different kind of things, good, bad, normal, exceptions. To be successful, we should open up our mind with a big hearts.

Again, the saying I have said a lot of time, "see what happens to from the sky"

05/19.
